Ian joined the tax department at Brays in November 2000. Having started his career working for the Inland Revenue (now HM Revenue & Customs), Ian then moved to work in practice, later becoming a member of the Association of Tax Technicians.

Ian’s work has always benefited from the alternative perspective he gained during his time at the Inland Revenue. He is also adept at distilling often complex tax matters into a more understandable format, which comes as a breath of fresh air to our tax clients.

In his spare time, Ian relishes any opportunity to learn something new. Having previously gained a degree in Art History from the Open University, Ian has now turned his hand to foreign languages, learning Italian, Hindi and, most recently, German.
