Jonathan joined Brays in September 2009 after gaining a Masters degree in Mathematics from Durham University.
Jonathan studied under former Brays partner Ian Parkinson to qualify as a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW in 2012. A glutton for punishment, Jonathan then chose to continue studying and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser just 18 months later, gaining an award from the Chartered Institute of Taxation for outstanding exam results along the way.
Jonathan prides himself on taking the time to really get to know his clients, gaining a crucial understanding of their priorities, in life as well as business, and the ways in which they work. This level of insight, and a comprehensive knowledge of business, tax and accountancy, enable Jonathan to offer the best solutions to even the most complex issues, in the friendly and open manner so highly valued by our clients.
Outside of the office, Jonathan maintains his ties to Lancashire by following Burnley Football Club and making the occasional trip over the Pennines. He has been married to Jill, Brays Office Manager, since 2014 and has a young daughter who likes to keep him in his place.
